Sedu flat iron vs CHI? Please help !?
hello =]
i have the solia flat iron and it makes my hair very dry adn doesnt do a good job straightening, and the second i step outside, my hair frizzes like you wouldnt believe
my natural hair is very coarse thick and curly frizzy hair
so after reading how the CHI is the best iron out there, i purchased the 2” CHI turbo… .. its better than my solia, but still i dont acheive pin straight silky hair results!
so, the Sedu seems to be the new straightener thats becoming big, is it better than the CHI?
i am returning my CHI for a smaller one tomorrow at an ulta store.. does anyone have any suggestions for a better straightener?
im veryyy disappointed in the CHI =[
ive already returned my CHI once for a different one, so this is the last time i can get a new iron.
… i have the turbo CHI which does have temperature control.. but it still doesnt make my hair silky or pin straight
.. also, i have used many heat products but nothing seems to work, and i use the CHI silk infusion… its okay but not great

Purchase the Sedu, it is better quality so it won’t break easily, also it has temperature control which ishealthier for your hair. Also for the silky hair results look at what type of products you’re using, you want to find something thats gonna smooth your hair but not be so heavy and actual CHI has GREAT hair products for that its just their flat iron is lowsy!
Good luck and when you go to ulta get some straightener spray or cream it’ll make a big difference!
Personally I think Sedu has the same effect as the CHI only it has temperature settings. That’s weird.. I’ve trief CHI and CHI turbo and they both worked really well for me :/
sedu DEFS.
chi sucks, although it works well, it doesnt have a dial to change your heat setting so you can easily burn your hair if you have thin hair and also it breaks within a year.
sedu even has a hairstyle named after it, its the number one flat iron with the solia followed after.
i myself own a solia.
mayube its that youre not suing the right poducts in your hair.
i dont know about hte sedu or chi- i ahd the solia and it sucked too
i have a jilbere titanium tools that i got from sallys beauty supply and it works really well. keeps my hair straight adn smooth untill i wash it. i have coarse thick curly hair too.
i have a chi straghtener and i love it.
maybe the products you use before you straighten your hair make a big difference. do you use products? if not, you should. i recommend buying a thermal protector, a deep conditioner, and spray that keeps hair straight.
i’ve never tried a sedu straightener so i can’t help you with that but i have heard good things about chi and sedu so i think they’re similar.
I bought my sedu from folica.com. it came with something to put it in when its hot, for free, and it came in like two days
The sedu is one of the best rated flat irons on folica.com voted by the customers. I did my research long and hard for hours upon days because i wanted a great straightener, not a crap one like my old revlon. The sedu heats up to 410 degrees and has a nice long cord. It heats up in like two seconds and straightens hair superrr fast. It leaves your hair straight, frizz free, shiny, and silky for hours. look at the reviewson folica.com for the chi and the sedu. the sedu has much better reviews. many people said that their chi broke easily and damaged their hair. only about one person MAYBE complained about the sedu. bottom line:sedu is amazing, ill never get another, i love it, get it!
haha the chi straightener got recalled
