I want to go to Sally’s and buy a good professional one. Any suggestions? My hair is naturally curly, thick and dry. Thanks
Okay, I have received several requests for white noise. In particular, the requests were for the sound of a hair dryer. Please don’t think I’ve gone mad. I am open to any reasonable requests for sound people find relaxing. I have rendered this white noise as an MP3, which I will email to anyone who requests a copy. The MP3 is 13 minutes in length. I understand that this particular white noise soothes babies and children to sleep. I asked my mom for a professional hair dryer because I love doing my hair and the hairdryers from Walmart that are 1875 watts really dry it out….however, when my mom went to purchase a really nice hairdryer, someone told her to get a hairdryer for 2000 watts and that it wouldn’t dry my hair out because it takes less time to dry……does this sound right?? I like to dry my hair by using a large round brush…..thank you!

I just purchased a hair dryer yesterday. I got it for a great price and was quite excited, so I ignored one fact….that the box says it’s for professional use only.
The hair dryer is a RUSK 1900 watts. I’ve looked at reviews on it and it sounds like a great one.
I want to try it, but I’m a little bit nervous. Why would they say it’s for professional use only? I asked a couple of hair stylists if it would be okay for me to use it and they say it does work as a home hair dryer. But I am in no way a hair stylist or know lots about hair (though I’m learning)
So what do you hair stylists (or people who know about this stuff) think? Should I just try it?

What are the main differences between regular hair dryers and professional. I believe that professional dryers generally take longer to dry your hair because they are not as strong as regular hair dryers.
Please suggest some hair dryers you feel are appropriate. My hair is fine, thin, medium length, curly (but i straighten it), chemically treated.
